Job description
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing expert speech and language support in a dynamic school setting near Chicopee, MA. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help students achieve their communication goals and reach their full academic potential.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Active SLP license in Massachusetts (or eligibility for licensure)
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required for Clinical Fellows (CFs)
Experience working in a school environment is a plus, but all SLPs with a passion for pediatrics are encouraged to apply
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech, language, and communication needs
Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student progress
Keep thorough documentation of student progress and therapy sessions in compliance with district protocols
Participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member
Adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse cultural and linguistic needs of students
