Job description

Speech Language Pathologist - SLP / Clinical Communicative Specialist

Empower Lives Through Communication in the Vibrant Desert – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us

Imagine a career where your passion for helping others gives life to voices previously unheard. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the engaging community of Glendale, Arizona, your expertise doesn't just treat communication and swallowing challenges; it restores confidence, nurtures connections, and paves the path for bright futures. From the delight of toddlers crafting their first sentences to the triumph of seniors reclaiming their speech, your work touches lives at every stage.

This position presents an incredible chance to work with a diverse range of patients, delivering care that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Whether your heart lies in supporting children with language delays, adults facing communication hurdles post-stroke, or guiding seniors through cognitive rehabilitation, this role offers the flexibility and fulfillment you seek.

Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations through standardized tools and insightful observations.

Craft personalized therapy plans that cater to both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.

Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that encompass communication, language skills, fluency, and swallowing therapies.

Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a unified approach to patient care.

Educate patients and their families to bolster progress outside clinical settings.

Support occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, providing seamless continuity of care.

Keep precise and timely records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Remain engaged with the latest advances in practice through continued education and collaboration with peers.

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a nationally accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Expertise in evidence-based treatment practices suitable for all ages, with proficiency in managing developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Adept at adjusting therapeutic techniques to cater to cultural and linguistic diversity.

Strong problem-solving skills and clinical judgment.

Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.

Competitive salary reflective of your experience.

Flexible work hours that promote a healthy work-life balance.

Options to specialize in pediatric therapy, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric rehabilitation.

Generous paid time off (PTO) alongside holiday compensation.

Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages available.

Support for continuing education and professional development.

A collaborative environment that prioritizes team dynamics and high-quality patient care.

Your role transcends traditional speech therapy. You will play a pivotal part in a compassionate mission to reclaim voices, fortify communication, and ignite joy through the fundamental acts of understanding and being understood.

Amidst colleagues who nurture a familial spirit, you will contribute to a culture rooted in teamwork, rather than competition. With every patient comes a narrative; embrace the opportunity to be a pivotal character in their story.

Life in Glendale combines the exhilarating pulse of urban sophistication with the warmth of community. Under Arizona's warm sun, you'll find a landscape rich with artistic expression, culinary delights, and ample outdoor adventure. Engage with families at lively parks, explore art festivals, or discover renowned restaurants that celebrate the vibrant local food scene.

Nature enthusiasts can embrace the great outdoors, with hiking trails and breathtaking parks waiting to be explored. Sport and culture thrive here, allowing you to immerse yourself in local team spirit or attend live music events that showcase incredible talent. With no state income tax and a growing job market, Glendale is not just a place to prosper professionally; it's a place to thrive personally.

Your professional journey deserves a canvas as vivid as your aspirations. No matter where you are in your career, Glendale welcomes you to evolve — both personally and in your practice.

We seek a passionate Speech Language Pathologist who prioritizes empathy alongside clinical outcomes. You're someone who sees a timid child and dreams of their self-expression, who listens to the tentative speech of a stroke survivor and envisions their resolve.

Your background might be in pediatrics, eager to branch into adult therapy, or you may have a strong focus on neuro-rehabilitation and wish to integrate early intervention strategies. Regardless of your specialty, if your heart is set on serving with compassion and leading with expertise, we want you on our team.

Join our community that treasures communication, advocates connection, and cherishes the courage it takes to start anew. Apply now to lend your voice to our team and assist others in discovering theirs.
