Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using an array of standardized assessments and detailed observations.
Create tailored treatment plans addressing immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting various aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Collaborate with a dedicated team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.
Educate patients and families on techniques and practices to enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations, reinforcing consistent care throughout the recovery journey.
Ensure documentation is current and complies with all regulations at the state and federal levels.
Maintain expertise with ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if not yet certified by ASHA.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification due within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based practices for individuals across all ages, with a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
Adept at modifying therapeutic approaches to accommodate a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Excellent clinical judgment complemented by effective problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic health records and related documentation protocols.
