Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and serving as a resource to other employees in the unit.
A speech-language pathologist diagnoses and treats conditions that affect your ability to communicate and swallow. SLPs work with people of all ages. In addition, responsibilities of speech-language pathologist include (but are not limited to):
helping people learn how to form sounds
teaching how to speak clearly and easily
using exercises to strengthen muscles used to speak or swallow
helping people increase the number of words they can say and/or understand
working with people to improve the way they put words together in sentences
providing augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for people who have severe language disorders
educating patients and their families about how to overcome challenges stemming from the communication or swallowing problem
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program
Texas SLP license
CCC-SLP certification
Must perform job responsibilities in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
