Job description
Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
nLocation: Laradon fosters a collaborative, team environment; working on-site in Denver, CO
nSchedule: 8 am-4 pm, M-F. This position is a full calendar year.
nStarting Salary Range: $70,000-$88,000 annually.

nAs a Speech-Language Pathologist you will be a valuable asset to Laradon’s mission by p roviding assessment, intervention and consultation to program staff and children with special needs in a day treatment center in the areas of language, articulation, voice, fluency, feeding and swallowing, assistive technology and augmentative/alternative communication.
nNo day is ever alike but you can generally look forward to the following responsibilities:
nnnParticipate in the administration of speech and language assessments and screenings.
n
nnParticipate with the interdisciplinary team in the development of the IEP.
n
nnMaintain the files and appropriate paperwork for designated caseload.
n
nnFacilitate and monitor activities in keeping with the IEP goals and objectives for designated caseload.
n
nnProvide consultation and support to classroom staff, as needed.
n
nnProvide consultation and direct instruction for identified students.
n
nnAssist students to choose and acquire augmentative communication devices.
n
nnSchedule and conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
n
nnDrive participants as necessary for program needs.
n
nnMaintain regular and punctual attendance.
n
nnAs Laradon is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative, team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions.

nnnMasters in Speech-Language Pathology
n
nnCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or an SLPA or SLP-CF as we have a current SLP with Supervision capabilities.
n
nnClinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered
n
nnColorado Department of Education License
n
nnExperience in working with school aged children.
n
nnValid driving license, good driving record, and reliable transportation. Must have the ability to drive.
n
nnPicture Exchange Communication System trained, preferred.
n
nnAbility to demonstrate patience, flexibility, strong communication skills and positive attitude.
n
nnPhysical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force; physical condition to enable walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; stamina to be on feet and active for full workdays; ability to speak or exchange information in an audible manner.
