Job Summary
As a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Pearl Pointe, you will provide high-quality speech-language pathology services to our patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders , including speech, language, cognitive, and voice disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans , in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, to meet the unique needs of each patient
Provide therapy sessions in a variety of settings , including individual and group sessions, as well as family therapy and education
Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
Stay current with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training
Requirements
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
Speech-Language Pathology Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
State licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
