Description

Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using industry-standard assessments and observational techniques.

Create tailored treatment plans focused on immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.

Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication skills, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.

Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to devise comprehensive care strategies.

Provide educational support to patients and families to reinforce progress made during therapy sessions.

Contribute to occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.

Engage in continuous education and peer collaboration to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Strong problem-solving abilities and clinical judgment.

Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation practices requirements.
