Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will make a tangible difference in the lives of elementary-aged students. This dynamic position, located in the Hempstead, TX area, welcomes both onsite and virtual (VOCO) therapists. You'll be supporting a manageable caseload of approximately 90 students, helping to nurture their communication skills and unlock their full academic potential.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain one
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) highly preferred; strong Clinical Fellow (CFY) candidates welcome
Experience with school-aged or elementary students is beneficial
Proficient in delivering therapy onsite and/or teletherapy sessions
Collaborative, organized, and enthusiastic about serving diverse learners
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop goals, and implement individualized therapy plans for elementary students
Provide direct intervention services, both individually and in groups, using engaging, evidence-based strategies
Maintain documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with school and state guidelines
Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Adapt therapy approaches for various service delivery models, including teletherapy
