Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Home Health
Location
Manatee County and South Hillsborough, Florida
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Day shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 17:00)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with home health experience to provide skilled therapy interventions in patient homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dysphasia management, patient safety, and patient/family education, and be capable of evaluating patients using appropriate tools.
Responsibilities
Manage dysphasia cases and implement aural rehabilitation techniques.
Develop and execute functional maintenance programs tailored to patients' needs.
Provide in-service training and education for patients and families.
Utilize evaluation tools such as BIMS (Brief Interview for Mental Status) and depression screening protocols.
Maintain accurate billing and documentation of services provided.
Conduct a minimum of 6 skilled home visits per day, adhering to management's guidelines.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, specifically in home health care.
Valid state license and BLS certification required.
CCC-SLP certification is mandatory.
OASIS training preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits.
COVID vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered). Flu shot or declination required.
