Empower Connection and Communication in Alabama – We Invite You to Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a career where your passion for fostering communication can genuinely transform lives. As a Speech Language Pathologist in Huntsville, Alabama, you will embark on a journey that transcends the mere treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. Your efforts will not only rehabilitate but will also inspire confidence and create enduring connections among individuals of all ages. From toddlers mastering their initial syllables to seniors reclaiming their confidence, your impact will ripple through the community.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse population, encompassing both pediatric and adult patients, within a vibrant clinical setting that harmonizes outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient needs. Whether your expertise lies in pediatric language acquisition, addressing adult neurogenic communication issues, or providing cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for older adults, your skills will shine here.

Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients employing a variety of assessment tools and observational methods.

Formulate tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.

Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication skills, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.

Engage in collaborative care planning with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive treatment strategies.

Provide educational support to patients and their families to facilitate progress outside the clinical environment.

Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, fostering a consistent care experience for all patients.

Keep meticulous and timely patient documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.

Embrace ongoing professional growth by participating in educational opportunities and peer exchanges.

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.

Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.

Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods across the lifespan, accompanied by a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions.

Exceptional communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Adept at adjusting therapy techniques to accommodate diverse linguistic and cultural needs.

Strong clinical reasoning and analytical problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols.

Attractive salary based on experience.

Flexible scheduling to promote a balance between work and personal life.

Possibilities to specialize in pediatrics, neurological rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance choices.

Support for professional development and continuing education reimbursement.

A team-oriented environment that emphasizes high-quality care and lifelong learning.

An Experience That Resonates with Your Heart
