Job description
An education network in New York City m is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team at one of their Manhattan schools. The role provides therapy, evaluation, and collaborative support for school-age students with complex communication, developmental, and neurological needs.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 35.25 hours per week (Mon to Wed = 8:15am to 3:15pm; Thurs = 8:15am to 3:15pm; &, Friday = 8:15am to 2:45pm)
Setting: School-based, onsite
Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy services to an assigned student caseload
Conduct evaluations, screenings, and comprehensive assessments
Develop, implement, and update treatment plans and IEP goals
Deliver feeding, swallowing, oral motor, and AAC-related interventions as appropriate
Complete documentation, progress reports, and collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license and registration
Current New York State certification as Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
Desired Skills: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Experience with AAC, assistive technology, oral motor assessment and treatment, feeding and swallowing disorders, speech motor disorders, PROMPT, and students with significant disabilities and complex communication needs
Experience with IEP development and therapeutic goal writing
