Job description
Empower young learners to achieve their best by providing speech and language support in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity near Aurora, CO, offers flexibility for both part-time and full-time schedules through the end of the school year. The position is itinerant, involving travel to multiple campuses, making every day unique and engaging.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license prior to starting
Bilingual fluency in Spanish is required
Comfortable working onsite at district locations (no remote options)
Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
Open to mentoring Clinical Fellows (CFs)
Role Responsibilities: Assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools
Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Deliver direct therapy services to students across multiple sites within the district
Consult with teachers, families, and school staff to ensure students' needs are met
Complete accurate documentation and progress reports, maintaining compliance with district and state requirements
Advocate for students' speech and language needs to maximize their educational outcomes
Stay current with best practices in bilingual service delivery
