Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Bear, DE
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as an onsite Speech Language Pathologist, supporting students communication needs in both school settings and with those who are medically homebound. This role offers the unique ability to split your time between working in a school building (location to be determined) and providing essential services to homebound students in the area near Wilmington, DE. The assignment starts August 25, 2026, and concludes June 8, 2027, with the option for either full-time or part-time hours, totaling up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Delaware Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
Experience in a K-12 educational environment highly desirable
Ability to work independently in both school-based and in-home/remote situations
Strong communication and documentation skills
Compassionate, flexible, and adaptive approach to meet varying student needs
Resume submission required for consideration
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to students in accordance with their IEPs
Assist and deliver services to students who are medically homebound
Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and other related service providers to ensure continuity of care and progress toward therapy goals
Maintain timely and accurate records of student progress and attendance
Support evaluations, participate in team meetings, and contribute to IEP development and implementation
Adjust therapy delivery as necessary based on fluctuating caseloads and service settings
