Job description
Step into a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in elementary education as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting learners' communication and academic growth. This contract position spans from mid-October 2026 through late January 2027, providing valuable interventions and support to an elementary caseload. The role is based onsite within a vibrant elementary school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current and valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
Prior experience in a school setting, especially with elementary age students, strongly preferred
In-depth understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders as they pertain to school-aged children
Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, staff, and families
Ability to create and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
Your Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students onsite
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to foster student success
Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to identify and address communication challenges
Develop and update individualized education plans (IEPs), monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation
Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise in the area of speech and language development
Serve as a resource for staff and caregivers regarding communication supports and strategies
Stay current on best practices and professional development in school-based SLP interventions
