Job description
Make a difference supporting students' growth and success by providing speech-language pathology services in a dynamic school-based setting. This contract opportunity near Chesapeake, VA is ideal for a passionate professional who enjoys working collaboratively to help students communicate more effectively and achieve their academic goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply
Previous experience in a school environment is advantageous
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each learner’s needs
Provide evidence-based therapy to address articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to create a supportive environment for student progress
Track progress through data collection and maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and district standards
Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and professional development opportunities
