Job description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication development as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an educational setting. This contract opportunity places you in a dynamic school environment near Hampton, VA, collaborating closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Active state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFYs are encouraged to apply
Previous experience working with children or within school environments is highly valued
Knowledge of IEP processes, speech/language assessments, and therapy documentation
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the education team
Provide direct therapy sessions and consultative support to educators and families
Monitor progress and maintain accurate, timely records of student performance and interventions
Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and multidisciplinary team discussions
Foster an inclusive, engaging environment that promotes student growth and confidence
