Job description
Embark on a rewarding contract role providing Speech-Language Pathology services in a dynamic school setting near Harvey, LA (New Orleans area). As a valued member of the academic community, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful difference supporting students' communication development and academic success. This position is scheduled to start as soon as possible and extends through May 27, 2027, with a full-time commitment of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in line with the local school calendar.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Current (or eligibility for) state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
Ability to fulfill district credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting
Preferred Experience: Previous pediatric or school-based SLP experience is a plus, but new graduates with required credentials are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct assessment and therapeutic intervention for students in a school-based setting (caseload and age groups to be determined)
Collaborate with educators, parents, and administration to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
Maintain thorough documentation of progress, assessment results, and treatment plans in compliance with district and state guidelines
Participate in team meetings and provide expertise in communication disorders within multidisciplinary teams
