Transform Lives and Create Connections in Vibrant Los Angeles – Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a job where your passion for communication meets the beautiful, dynamic landscape of Los Angeles. As a Speech Language Pathologist in this bustling metropolis, your impact stretches far beyond treating communication and swallowing disorders. You will give individuals a voice, boost their confidence, and foster connections that matter — from energetic children mastering their first syllables to seniors striving to regain their independence.

This role invites you to engage with a diverse spectrum of individuals throughout their lives in an environment that harmoniously combines outpatient therapy and occasional inpatient support. Whether your heart lies in pediatric speech advances, navigating the complexities of adult communication disorders, or supporting geriatric patients in cognitive recovery, you will find fulfilling opportunities in every aspect of your work here.

Conduct in-depth assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized evaluations and observational methods.

Construct tailored therapy plans that cater to both immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.

Deliver innovative one-on-one therapy focusing on speech, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.

Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team consisting of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design integrated care approaches.

Educate patients and families to empower and encourage progress outside of clinical scenarios.

Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a consistent continuum of care throughout the patient's journey.

Maintain comprehensive and timely patient documentation, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.

Stay informed on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.

Mastery of evidence-based therapeutic modalities for all age groups, paired with a thorough knowledge of developmental and acquired disorders impacting speech, language, and swallowing.

Superb interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Adeptness in tailoring therapy methods to accommodate cultural and linguistic differences.

Strong clinical insights coupled with excellent problem-solving capabilities.

Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.

Competitive salary reflective of your experience.

Flexible schedules promoting a healthy work-life balance and diverse caseloads.

Paths for specializations in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

Generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.

Support for continuing education and professional development opportunities.

A collaborative environment centered on quality care and continuous learning.

A Career That Moves You Forward and Inspires

As part of this role, you won't simply administer therapy; you'll become an integral piece of a community-centric mission dedicated to restoring voices and enhancing communication while igniting joy through the fundamental human experience of sharing and being understood.

Working alongside colleagues who foster a familial atmosphere, you will thrive in a space that champions collaboration over competition. Each patient brings their own narrative; your role will be to help unravel it with care and compassion.

Why You'll Adore Living and Working Here

Los Angeles offers an energetic blend of urban innovation and serene natural beauty, a lifestyle infused with artistic vibrancy and cultural diversity. Here, every day unfolds amid iconic sights and a climate that encourages outdoor activities year-round, making this the perfect backdrop for your personal and professional aspirations.

Picture families basking in lush parks, enjoying live music, or exploring the countless food truck offerings, alongside expansive global cuisines from Michelin-starred establishments to cozy neighborhood favorites. Nature enthusiasts can bask in stunning beach sunsets, hike along picturesque trails, or engage with the mountains just a stone's throw away from the city hustle.

The city's creative pulse is felt in every corner, from street art that sparks joy to music flowing from countless venues that bring the community together. Professionals in Los Angeles reap benefits that extend beyond the lifestyle, including no state income tax and an expansive healthcare market, setting the stage for flourishing careers.

No matter where you are in your professional journey, this vibrant city offers the room to develop both personally and professionally.

Who We're Searching For

We seek a Speech Language Pathologist driven by empathy and outcome-oriented approaches. Someone who sees potential in a quiet child and foresees a future filled with expression; who listens to a stroke survivor's slurred speech and hears determination to succeed.

You might be a pediatric-focused expert looking to branch into adult services or a clinician concentrated on neurological rehabilitation eager to explore early intervention techniques.

Whatever ignites your passion, if you're ready to lead with skill and serve with heart, we are eager to extend our warm welcome to you.

Let's Find Your Voice and Connect

If you resonate with the belief that speech embodies more than mere sound, and that therapy transcends routine tasks — if you see building trust as pivotal to reaching goals and laughter as crucial as language — then you may have found your next career destination.

Join us on this journey that celebrates connection, communication, and the bravery needed to begin anew. Apply now to share your unique voice with our team and help those around you find theirs.
