Job description
Step into a rewarding role supporting students' growth and communication skills in a specialized education setting! This full-time contract opportunity calls for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates eager to make an impact in the educational journey of children and young adults. With multiple openings available, you'll serve primarily preschool and elementary students, but may work with individuals up to age 22, offering variety and meaningful engagement across age groups.
You'll join a supportive onsite team, collaborating closely with educators and families to create a positive environment for children with autism and those with moderate-to-low support needs. The position runs 37.5 hours per week and continues through the Extended School Year (ESY) at 30 hours weekly, with opportunities continuing into the school year. Your expertise will play a vital part in helping students build confidence and communication skills that will benefit them now and in the future.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Valid state licensure and certification or eligibility (including CFY applicants)
Experience or strong interest in special education environments, especially with autism or developmental needs
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
Role Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to diagnose communication disorders and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
Deliver direct speech/language therapy services in an engaging, compassionate manner
Work with teachers, aides, and families to support generalization of skills across settings
Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as an active team member
Contribute creative ideas for activities, interventions, and communication strategies
