Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across the lifespan, employing both standardized assessment tools and observational methodologies.
Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate as well as long-term communication and swallowing goals.
Deliver targeted therapy sessions addressing speech clarity, language fluency, and swallowing safety on a one-on-one basis.
Engage in collaborative care with a diverse team of professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
Provide valuable educational resources and support for families, empowering them to facilitate progress at home.
Conduct speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatients to maintain care continuity and enhance recovery experiences.
Ensure precise documentation in accordance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
Commit to continuous professional growth through educational opportunities and collaborative peer interactions.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not certified by ASHA.
State licensure for Speech Language Pathologists.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Knowledgeable in current evidence-based practices for treating diverse speech and language disorders across all age groups.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Adept at customizing therapeutic approaches to align with cultural and linguistic considerations.
Strong analytical skills with good clinical judgment and decision-making capabilities.
Familiar with electronic medical record systems and documentation requirements.
