Job description
Step into a dynamic contract position serving a single elementary school site, supporting young learners in grades TK-5. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact through high-quality speech-language services for a manageable caseload of approximately 40-45 students.
As a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in this setting, your expertise will be critical in helping students achieve their optimal communication abilities throughout the academic year, spanning a 160-170 day contract.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued
Strong skills in assessment, report writing, and IEP development
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Key Responsibilities: Conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations
Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for eligible students
Providing direct intervention and consultation to support student participation and success in the classroom
Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating regularly with school staff and families
Offering recommendations for classroom strategies and accommodations
