Ignite Communication Across Generations in Omaha – Embark on Your Journey as a Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a career that not only gives a voice to those in need but also brings meaning to your professional life. As a Speech Language Pathologist situated in the welcoming city of Omaha, your expertise will play a vital role in transforming lives. You'll assist individuals with communication and swallowing challenges, empowering them to reclaim their abilities and enhance their quality of life — from energetic toddlers savoring their first sentences to seniors striving for independence.

This is a rare chance to work with a diverse range of clients throughout various life stages in a dynamic environment that combines outpatient therapy with the occasional inpatient engagement. Whether your interests lie in pediatric speech development, adult neurogenic communication disorders, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, you can expect to find your niche and thrive here.

Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages, employing both standardized assessments and clinical observations.

Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at achieving both short-term objectives and long-term goals for communication, cognitive skills, or swallowing difficulties.

Implement individualized speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing parameters.

Engage in collaborative partnerships with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families to ensure comprehensive care plans.

Educate patients and their families to bolster therapeutic advancements beyond the clinic.

Provide occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions in order to maintain a seamless continuum of care.

Adhere strictly to documentation requirements as outlined by state, federal, and organizational protocols.

Embrace ongoing professional development to stay at the forefront of clinical advancements.

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) necessary for ASHA certification, if applicable.

Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist granted by the state.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.

Expertise in evidence-based methodologies for treatment across all age levels, supplemented by a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to engage effectively with patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Flexibility in adapting therapy strategies to meet the diverse needs of various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Sharp clinical reasoning with a knack for problem-solving.

Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards.

Attractive compensation aligned with your experience level.

Flexible scheduling to promote a healthy work-life balance and manage diverse caseloads.

Paths to specialization in pediatrics, adult neurological rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay.

Comprehensive health benefits encompassing medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Support for continuing education expenses and professional growth initiatives.

A collegial environment centered on quality care and enduring education.

A Career That Embodies Growth and Purpose

As a Speech Language Pathologist here, your role extends beyond mere therapy. You'll immerse yourself in a passionate community dedicated to nurturing communication, fostering connections, and orchestrating moments of delight through the invaluable acts of understanding one another.

Join colleagues who prioritize teamwork and mutual support, all within an environment that champions collaboration over competition. Each individual you help has a unique narrative, and we trust you to play an instrumental part in how that story unfolds.

Why You'll Adore Living and Working Here

Who We Are Seeking

You might notice a reticent child and envision a world where they can express themselves freely, or hear the hesitant speech of a stroke recovery patient and sense their unwavering determination to regain what was lost.

Are you a pediatric expert eager to expand your horizons to adult therapy, or perhaps a neuro specialist wanting to integrate early intervention strategies? Whoever you are, we welcome your passion and dedication to serving those in need.
