Speech Language Pathologist SLP - Outpatient Specialist

Transform Lives Through Communication in the Enchanting Desert Oasis of Arizona – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us

Imagine a career where your expertise helps others find their voices and navigate the journey of communication. As a Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant community of Scottsdale, Arizona, you'll go beyond treating communication and swallowing disorders — you'll enable individuals of all ages to express themselves and connect on a deeper level.

In this dynamic role, your skills will shine as you assist a diverse range of clients, from infants exploring their first words to seniors striving for regained independence. The blend of outpatient therapy with the occasional opportunity for inpatient support ensures a rewarding balance in your practice, allowing you to cater to your passion, be it in pediatrics, adult neurogenic communication, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation.

Your Role

Conduct thorough evaluations across various age groups using standardized assessments and observational methods to identify communication barriers.

Create individualized treatment plans tailored to short- and long-term objectives, addressing the specific needs of the patient in communication, cognition, or swallowing.

Engage in personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing skills.

Collaborate with a diverse array of healthcare professionals to implement comprehensive care strategies that benefit your patients.

Educate families and caregivers to ensure ongoing support outside clinical visits, fostering progress and connection.

Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, maintaining a seamless continuum of care.

Document patient progress meticulously, aligning with institutional and state requirements.

Stay abreast of the latest developments in speech-language pathology through education and collaborative practice.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications Needed

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.

Competencies Required

Expertise in evidence-based practices for treating age-related speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Outstanding communication skills with patients, families, and team members.

Adept at customizing therapy techniques to suit the cultural and linguistic diversity of clients.

Strong clinical analysis and problem-solving capabilities.

Comfort using electronic health records and meeting documentation standards.

Employee Benefits

Competitive salary based on experience.

Flexible hours promoting work-life balance and diverse patient experiences.

Specialization opportunities in various domains like pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatrics.

Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Support for continuing education and career development.

A strong team-oriented environment committed to quality care and ongoing learning.

Join Us in this Meaningful Journey

In this role, you will not only deliver speech therapy but will also become an integral part of a community-focused mission dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and facilitating transformative interactions through simple yet profound acts: understanding and being understood.

Here, you will collaborate with fellow clinicians who support one another like family, embodying a culture of cooperation rather than competition. Each patient you encounter possesses a unique narrative; we trust you to help craft those stories with care.

Seeking Compassionate Clinicians

We are in search of a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated not just by treatment results, but by a deep sense of empathy. If you are someone who sees a withdrawn child and envisions their vibrant future, or recognizes the determination in a stroke survivor's hesitant speech, we want you.

You may be a specialist in pediatric care wishing to expand into adult rehabilitation, or a neuro clinician incorporating early intervention — wherever your focus lies, if you are eager to serve with heart and lead with expertise, we welcome you wholeheartedly.

Let's Craft Our Story Together

If you see speech as more than merely sound, and therapy as more than tasks — if you believe in building trust before achieving goals, and cherish the laughter embedded in communication — this could be the next significant step in your professional journey.

Join us in a community that values communication, connection, and the courage to embrace new beginnings. Apply today to bring your unique voice to our team — and help others discover theirs.
