Job description
The role involves evaluating and treating patients of all ages with speech and feeding impairments, serving as a professional role model and clinical resource for staff and students.
Qualifications include:
Master’s Degree in a related field
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
Completion of continuing education on acute stroke care
Key responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
Evaluate speech, language, feeding, and swallowing functions
Use appropriate evaluation tools and materials
Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and other professionals
Educate patients and caregivers on home programs
Coordinate with pediatric PT/OT and document therapy sessions
Supervise students and complete annual requirements for senior status
Skills and qualities:
