Job description

Speech Language Pathologist - SLP

Embrace the Art of Communication in the Sun-Drenched Paradise of Arizona – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist

What if your next career step allowed you to empower lives through communication? As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Arizona's most dynamic cities, your role will transcend the traditional boundaries of treating speech and swallowing disorders. You'll be a catalyst for change, helping individuals of all ages find their voices — whether guiding a child in mastering their first words or assisting an elder in regaining independence.

This is not just any position; it's a chance to make a real impact across a diverse range of patients within a setting that combines outpatient therapies and sporadic inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in nurturing pediatric speech development, addressing adult neurogenic communication challenges, or providing geriatric cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, fulfillment and flexibility are at your fingertips here.

Responsibilities

Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and observational methods.

Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing needs.

Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop coherent patient care strategies.

Educate patients and their families to encourage progress beyond clinical settings.

Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Keep detailed and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational standards.

Engage in continuous education and peer collaboration to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.

Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Skills

Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for patients from all age groups, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to effectively connect with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong clinical judgment and creative problem-solving skills.

Comfortable utilizing electronic medical records and adhering to documentation standards.

Benefits

Attractive compensation based on experience.

Flexible work schedules that promote work-life harmony and provide member variety.

Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.

Reimbursement for continuing education and support for ongoing professional development.

A collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on high-quality care and continuous learning.

A Career That Resonates with Your Values — and Enriches Your Life

In this role, you won't just be providing speech therapy — you'll contribute to a community-focused mission to restore voices, enhance communication, and cultivate joy through the essential human connection of understanding and being understood.

Here, you'll collaborate with clinicians who treat each other like family. This workplace champions cooperation over competition and values every patient's unique story as you help determine the narrative of their journey.

Why You Will Fall in Love with Living and Working Here

The magic of life in Phoenix combines golden sunlight with lively innovation, nestled against the backdrop of breathtaking desert landscapes. Surrounded by towering mountains and sprawling parks, this urban oasis is a treasure trove for nature enthusiasts, culture seekers, and culinary adventurers alike.

Families revel in outdoor gatherings, enjoying local festivals and vibrant markets that showcase Arizona's finest offerings. Whether you're hiking through scenic trails, exploring art exhibits, or savoring meals crafted by renowned chefs, this community is alive with creative energy. And for professionals, the appeal extends well beyond the enticing lifestyle — a burgeoning job market, affordable living, and no state income tax create an outstanding environment where careers flourish and thrive.

Should you be new to the Speech Language Pathology field or a seasoned expert eager for a fresh opportunity, this is the perfect place for personal and professional growth.

The Ideal Candidate

We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who fosters outcomes through empathy and compassion. You are the visionary who perceives a quiet child and believes in their bright future of self-expression; you hear the hesitant words of a stroke survivor and recognize the determination behind them.

You might excel at pediatric care and seek to expand into adult therapy — or perhaps you specialize in neuro-based treatment and wish to incorporate early interventions into your practice.

No matter your area of focus, if you are ready to serve with heart and lead with skill, we are excited to welcome you into our fold.

Let's Discover the Right Words — Together

If you believe that speech transcends mere sounds, and that therapy is about so much more than just tasks — if you advocate for building rapport before pursuing goals, and appreciate the laughter as much as language — then this role may be the next enthralling chapter in your professional journey.

Join us in a community that treasures communication, connection, and the bravery it takes to begin anew. Apply today to lend your voice to our team and guide others in discovering theirs.
