Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across vibrant school communities in the Port Saint Lucie and Fort Pierce areas. We are seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide exceptional services to students from preschool through 8th grade. Whether you are interested in part-time flexibility or a full-time commitment, this position offers a variety of engaging caseloads and collaborative environments.
What you'll bring:
Active Florida SLP license
Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, staff, and families
Ability to manage caseloads independently and work effectively within a team
Timely completion of credentialing including district fingerprinting (can be expedited if already in AHCA clearinghouse)
Availability to pick up a badge on-site before start date
Your impact and responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students (PK-8th, varies by site)
Complete necessary student assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success
Contribute to IEPs and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
Utilize on-site resources while integrating into school teams-locations have existing SLPs or allow for autonomous practice depending on assignment
Support one to two campuses, with small manageable caseloads and the ability to combine part-time roles into full-time if desired
Enjoy scheduling options to fit your needs, spanning 14-21 hours for part-time or up to 35 hours weekly for full-time. Assignments range from working alongside other SLPs in a robust team environment to more independent roles serving close-knit school communities.
