Empower Connections Through Communication in Beautiful Oregon – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a career where your expertise not only enhances communication but transforms lives. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the breathtaking landscape of Oregon, your role extends beyond addressing communication and swallowing disorders. Here, you will unlock potential, rebuild confidence, and foster human connection — from little ones mastering their first words to older adults striving for independence.

This position offers a chance to touch the lives of diverse individuals across all age groups in a dynamic setting that fuses outpatient therapy with sporadic inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in nurturing language development in children, assisting adults with neurogenic communication challenges, or facilitating cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation among seniors, you will find both purpose and immense satisfaction.

Description

Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized methods and observational techniques.

Craft individualized treatment plans targeting immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.

Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions that concentrate on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.

Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish comprehensive care strategies.

Educate patients and their families to ensure progression outside the therapy sessions.

Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, which guarantee continuity of care along the patient's healing journey.

Keep meticulous documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational policies.

Maintain awareness of advancements in the field through continual professional development and interaction with peers.

Education

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.

Certifications

A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.

Skills

Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for all ages, complemented by a thorough knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.

Adept at tailoring therapy approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong clinical judgment and advanced problem-solving capabilities.

Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.

Benefits

Competitive salary based on experience.

Flexible work schedules to promote work-life harmony and diverse case loads.

Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatrics.

Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay.

Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Support for continuing education and professional development.

A collaborative, team-oriented environment dedicated to quality care and lifelong learning.

A Career That Inspires Growth — and Growth in Others

In this position, your efforts will go beyond providing therapy — you'll become part of a community-driven initiative to amplify voices, enhance communication, and create moments of joy through essential human connections: understanding and being understood.

Here, you will partner with colleagues who treat each other like family, in an atmosphere that values collaboration over rivalry. Every patient enters with a distinct story; we trust you to help shape how it unfolds.

Why You'll Love the Oregon Lifestyle

The pace of life in Oregon harmonizes the rush of innovation with the warmth of community spirit. From stunning coastal views to majestic forests, the state offers a rich tapestry for those who seek a harmonious blend of nature, culture, and professional opportunity.

Families often come together for outdoor concerts or picnics in serene parks, while adventure enthusiasts embrace the countless trails, waterfalls, and breathtaking vistas the state has to offer. Culinary aficionados delight in everything from fresh farm-to-table dining experiences to bustling food truck pods highlighting local flavors.

The area resonates with creativity, bursting forth in murals, local music, and lively festivals that unite residents from diverse backgrounds. For career-minded professionals, the advantages extend beyond atmosphere; with no state income tax, a manageable cost of living, and a thriving healthcare sector, this region is fertile ground for career development.

Whether you are just starting your journey in the field or looking to elevate your practice, here you will discover the freedom to thrive — personally and professionally.

Who We're Seeking

We are in search of a Speech Language Pathologist who is driven not only by the desire for results but also by a deep-rooted sense of compassion. Someone who dreams of the future of a quiet child yearning to share, or perceives the slurred speech of a stroke survivor and recognizes the will to overcome.

You could be a pediatric expert looking to delve into adult therapies, or a clinician with neuro focus excited to weave early interventions into your practice.

Regardless of your specialization, if you are prepared to serve with heart and excellence, we're here to welcome you with open arms.

Let's Discover the Right Words Together

If you see speech as more than just sounds, and therapy as more than mere tasks — if you believe in establishing trust before engaging in goals, and that laughter is as essential as language — then this could very well be the next chapter you've been longing for in your career.

Join us in a community that cherishes communication, connection, and the bravery it takes to start anew. Apply today to contribute your voice to our team — and help others find theirs.
