Speech Language Pathologist SLP

Unlock the Power of Communication in San Jose, California – Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a career where your expertise not only helps individuals overcome communication and swallowing challenges but also reinvigorates lives. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the bustling innovation hub of San Jose, your impact will resonate across generations — from young children forging their first words to older adults reclaiming essential communication skills.

In this multifaceted role, you will engage directly with a diverse array of patients, melding outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient responsibilities. Whether your passion lies in nurturing the speech of toddlers, addressing complex adult neurological conditions, or facilitating cognitive rehabilitation for seniors, you'll discover a rewarding environment that supports your professional journey and personal growth.

Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a blend of standardized assessments and keen observational skills.

Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate goals while addressing ongoing communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.

Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanics.

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to ensure cohesive patient care.

Provide vital education to families, enabling them to support their loved ones' progress beyond clinical settings.

Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy measures to maintain a seamless continuum of care.

Accurately document patient progress and interventions in compliance with established guidelines and regulations.

Engage in continuous learning by staying updated with the latest developments in speech-language pathology.

A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in pursuit of ASHA certification if not yet obtained.

Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-employment.

Expertise in evidence-based practices applicable to all age groups, alongside a deep appreciation for developmental and acquired communication disorders.

Strong interpersonal skills that foster open communication with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary care team.

Flexibility in adapting therapeutic strategies to honor diverse cultural and linguistic insights.

Sharp clinical judgment complemented by effective problem-solving skills.

Proficient in utilizing electronic medical records and adhering to professional documentation protocols.

Attractive compensation relative to experience and qualifications.

Flexible scheduling options supporting optimal work-life harmony and diverse patient caseloads.

Opportunities for specialization in pediatric, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric therapies.

Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.

Reimbursement for continuing education and dedicated support for professional development.

An environment centered around collaboration and quality care, encouraging continuous learning.

A Journey of Growth Awaits You

In this dynamic role, you'll do more than deliver speech therapy — you'll play an integral role in a community committed to revitalizing voices, enhancing communication, and embodying the joy that comes from understanding others and being understood.

Join a compassionate team where collaboration triumphs over competition, and where every patient's story takes center stage, guided by your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist.
