Speech Language Pathologist - SLP

Elevate Communication and Transform Lives in Beautiful California – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a career that not only allows you to give voice to those struggling but also empowers you to make meaningful connections. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of California's sunlit cities, you will engage in more than just treating communication and swallowing disorders. Your role will be crucial in unlocking potential, enhancing self-esteem, and fostering human interaction, with patients ranging from cheerful toddlers finding their words to resilient seniors striving for independence.

This position presents a remarkable chance to work with a diverse population across all ages in an environment that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient services. Whether you have a passion for pediatric speech development, adult neurogenic communication issues, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, you will find a fulfilling and flexible role that adapts to your interests and expertise.

Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using standardized methods and clinical observations.

Craft tailored treatment plans targeting short-term objectives as well as long-term cognitive, communicative, or swallowing goals.

Implement individualized speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.

Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers, to develop cohesive care strategies.

Provide educational resources to patients and their families to empower progress beyond therapy sessions.

Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions to ensure seamless patient care throughout their journey.

Maintain organized and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.

Engage in continual learning through various educational opportunities and collaborative discussions with peers in the field.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Expertise in evidence-based interventions for all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and a diverse care team.

Ability to modify therapeutic approaches to accommodate cultural and linguistic diversity.

Strong clinical reasoning and capability in problem-solving.

Proficient in using electronic medical records and adhering to documentation protocols.

Competitive salary based on experience.

Flexible scheduling to ensure a harmonious work-life balance with varied patient caseloads.

Opportunities for specialization in pediatric care, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric services.

Paid time off (PTO) and holiday benefits.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage options.

Support for continuing education costs and professional growth initiatives.

A motivational and collaborative environment focused on the pursuit of excellence in patient care and ongoing learning.

A Journey of Purpose Awaits — Join Us

In this role, you will provide more than just therapy; you will be part of a mission-driven community working to restore voices, strengthen connections, and bring joy through the fundamental acts of understanding and being understood.

Surrounded by dedicated clinicians who are supportive and encouraging, you will thrive in an environment that fosters teamwork rather than rivalry. Every patient brings a unique narrative; your expertise will help shape the way their story unfolds.
