Job description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a welcoming educational setting near Simi Valley, CA. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact, working in person three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) for a total of 21 hours weekly.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current and valid state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong Clinical Fellows may be considered
Previous experience working in a school environment or with pediatric populations is highly valued
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Knowledge of IEP process and ability to implement individualized education plans
Role Responsibilities: Conduct evaluations and assessments of students' speech, language, and communication needs
Develop and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions tailored to student goals
Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports
Collaborate with educators, families, and other school professionals to support student success
Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations as part of a multidisciplinary team
Stay current with best practices and state/federal regulations relevant to school-based speech-language pathology
