We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join a Skilled Nursing Facility in Lompoc, California. This role focuses on working with an adult and geriatric population, helping patients recover from stroke, neurological conditions, cognitive impairments, and other medical issues affecting communication and swallowing. You will provide individualized therapy services designed to improve functional communication, cognitive abilities, and swallowing safety while enhancing overall quality of life. Job Responsibilities:
•Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in patients
•Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
•Provide therapy focused on speech, cognition, and dysphagia management
•Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
•Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety strategies
•Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Requirements
•Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California
•Current BLS/CPR certification
•Minimum of 6 months of recent SLP experience within the last 5 years preferred
•Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus
•Strong clinical and communication skills
