Speech Language Pathologist - SLP Specialist

Unlock the Power of Communication in Beautiful Georgia – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a career that not only enriches your life but also transforms the lives of others! As a Speech Language Pathologist in the charming city of Augusta, your role will extend beyond just treating communication and swallowing disorders. You will play a vital part in empowering individuals of all ages to find their voice, rekindle their self-confidence, and foster meaningful connections. From exuberant toddlers mastering their first words to elderly individuals who are regaining independence, your impact will be profound.

This unique opportunity allows you to work with diverse populations in an environment where outpatient therapy meets occasional inpatient support. Whether you're drawn to pediatric language advancements, passionate about addressing adult neurogenic disorders, or eager to contribute to geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, your journey here will be fulfilling and full of potential.

What You Will Do

Assess patients across various age groups through standardized tests and careful observation.

Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and future communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.

Deliver focused speech therapy sessions addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties on a one-on-one basis.

Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to develop and implement integrated care strategies.

Engage in patient and family education to enhance progress outside of therapy sessions.

Occasionally assist with inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless care experience.

Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all regulatory guidelines.

Commit to continuous professional growth through education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.

Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications You Will Need

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Skills

Expertise in evidence-based therapy methods for all demographics, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Adept at adjusting therapeutic methods to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong clinical judgment and the ability to solve problems effectively.

Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.

Why Join Us?

Competitive salary based on experience.

Flexible work schedules promoting an excellent work-life balance.

Specialization opportunities in pediatric care, adult rehabilitation, or geriatric services.

Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Support for continuing education and professional development.

A collaborative work environment that values quality care and lifelong learning.

A Rewarding Career Awaits You

In this role, you will do more than deliver therapy. You'll be a vital part of a compassionate team dedicated to empowering individuals to express themselves, communicate effectively, and derive joy from their everyday interactions.

Here, our clinicians not only treat patients but foster lasting relationships with each other and the community. Every patient has a unique journey, and we trust you to guide them as they tell their story.

Whether you're a pediatric expert wanting to expand your skill set in adult therapies or someone experienced in neuro rehabilitation looking to enrich your practice with early intervention, we invite you to join our mission.

Let's Create Meaningful Moments Together

If you understand that communication is not just speech, and therapy means more than tasks — if you appreciate the importance of building trust while pursuing goals and find joy in laughter as much as language — this could be the next chapter in your life's work.

Join us as we celebrate connections and the courage involved in every journey. Apply today and lend your voice to empower others to find theirs.
