Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
Craft tailored treatment plans that encompass both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication modalities, language proficiency, fluency, voice intricacies, and swallowing challenges.
Engage in collaborative partnerships with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive care strategies.
Education and support for patients and family members will be a fundamental part of promoting progress beyond clinical sessions.
Support the occasional need for inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic journey.
Maintain precise and timely documentation complying with all relevant state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Stay abreast of advancements in the speech-language field through ongoing professional education and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still awaiting ASHA certification.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment methodologies across all age groups, with a comprehensive grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Adaptability in implementing therapy techniques to address varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
