Ignite Connections through Communication in the Windy City – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine embarking on a new career chapter that gives voice to purpose in the vibrant city of Chicago! As a Speech Language Pathologist, you're not just addressing communication and swallowing disorders; you're unlocking potential, inspiring confidence, and bridging human connections. From energetic toddlers speaking their first sentences to seniors regaining autonomy, your impact will be felt deeply across generations.

This is your chance to work within a diverse community, providing vital services in an outpatient therapy setting complemented by occasional inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in guiding young children through their speech journey, supporting adults with neurogenic communication challenges, or enriching the lives of older adults with cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, this role offers the fulfillment and flexibility you crave.

Perform comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.

Design tailored treatment plans that reflect individual short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.

Deliver personalized one-on-one therapy sessions that target speech, language, fluency, and swallowing issues.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care strategies.

Provide education to patients and families to bolster their progress beyond clinical interactions.

Participate in the assessment and intervention of inpatient speech therapy as required, guaranteeing a seamless continuity of care.

Maintain meticulous and punctual documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.

Commit to ongoing professional development, keeping abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Expertise in evidence-based practices for diverse age groups, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary collaborators.

Adept at modifying therapy techniques to cater to varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong clinical problem-solving capabilities paired with sound judgment.

Proficient in electronic medical record systems and documentation protocols.

Attractive compensation package aligned with experience and expertise.

Flexible scheduling options that promote work-life harmony and diverse caseloads.

Opportunities to delve into specialties such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.

Funding for professional development and continuing education.

A collaborative environment dedicated to quality care and continual growth.

A Career That Resonates with Impact

In this position, you will deliver more than just speech therapy — you'll become an integral part of a mission to strengthen voices, enhance communication, and create moments of joy through genuine interactions.

You'll partner with colleagues who value teamwork and uplift one another, thriving in a practice grounded in collaboration rather than competition. Every individual who seeks your help carries a story; we are eager to witness how you will shape their narrative.

Our Ideal Candidate

We seek a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist who is not only goal-driven but also empathic. You envision a world where a quiet child finds their voice, and where a stroke survivor's determination transcends spoken words.

Perhaps you specialize in pediatrics and are looking to diversify into adult services, or you're a clinician with a focus on neurological rehabilitation eager to incorporate pediatric early interventions into your practice.

No matter your background, if you're ready to make a difference and bring your expertise to our community, we would love to welcome you with open arms.

Let's Craft a Journey of Communication Together

If you see speech as more than a series of sounds and view therapy as a pathway to trust, then this could be the next chapter in your professional journey.

Join us in a community dedicated to celebrating communication, fostering connections, and empowering individuals with the courage to rediscover their voices. Apply now and help others uncover their potential while amplifying your own!
