Speech Language Pathologist / SLP Specialist

Ignite Communication and Transform Lives in Sunny California – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a career where your skills make a profound difference in the lives of others, not just through therapy but through genuine interactions. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the vibrant community of Chula Vista, California, your mission will extend beyond addressing communication and swallowing disorders. You'll play a pivotal role in unlocking potential, restoring self-assurance, and fostering connections — from children taking their first steps in language to elderly individuals reigniting their independence.

This role offers you an unprecedented chance to support a diverse range of clients throughout various stages of life, within a working environment that enriches both outpatient therapies and supports occasional inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in pediatric speech development, navigating adult neurogenic disorders, or enabling geriatric rehabilitation, you'll be met with purpose and flexibility.

Conduct assessments for patients of all ages, utilizing both standardized tools and observation techniques.

Create tailored treatment plans that prioritize both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing achievements.

Deliver individualized therapy sessions that center on speech, language, fluency, and voice interventions.

Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to forge integrated care pathways.

Educate patients and their families to bolster progress beyond clinical visits.

Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

Keep meticulous documentation in line with ethical and regulatory standards.

Stay abreast of developments in Speech Language Pathology by engaging in ongoing education and peer exchange.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.

Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.

Expertise in evidence-based practices across all age groups, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.

Outstanding interpersonal communication, engaging effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Capacity to tailor therapy approaches that address a spectrum of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Robust clinical judgment along with proficient problem-solving skills.

Comfortable navigating electronic health records and documentation protocols.

Attractive salary consistent with experience.

Flexible scheduling that promotes work-life harmony and accommodates various caseloads.

Opportunities for specialization within pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.

Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.

Reimbursement for continuing education and support for professional growth.

A collaborative team environment emphasizing quality care and lifelong learning.

A Role That Reshapes Lives and Communities

In this position, you won't merely facilitate speech therapy; you'll be integral to a mission that celebrates empowerment, connection, and the beauty found in understanding one another. Here, you'll work alongside dedicated clinicians committed to nurturing a spirit of collaboration — every patient represents a unique narrative, and you'll be trusted to help craft how it's shared.

The artistic life thrives here - with captivating murals, lively local music scenes, and festivals celebrating community spirit weaving together the fabric of this region.

Professionally, the advantages stretch beyond lifestyle perks; with no state income tax making earnings go further, a favorable cost of living, and a flourishing healthcare sector, Chula Vista is a place where careers flourish and personal lives thrive.

Whether you're a newcomer to this field or an experienced professional eager to expand your horizons, you'll discover the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.

Who We Seek

We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who is propelled not just by clinical outcomes but by a heartfelt commitment to serve. Someone who can look at a shy child and see a future filled with language, or hear a stroke survivor's hesitant speech and perceive their resolve to communicate.

You might specialize in pediatrics and are eager to broaden your scope to adult services, or perhaps you're entrenched in neuro rehabilitation and wish to integrate early intervention into your expertise.

Whatever your specialty, if you are prepared to embrace service with passion and lead with expertise, we are excited to extend a warm welcome to you.

Let's Connect Through Communication — Together

If you perceive speech as more than mere sound, and recognize therapy as more than just tasks—if you believe in building trust before pursuing objectives, and seeing laughter as equally important as language — then this could very well become an inspiring chapter in your professional journey.

Join us in a culture that values communication, relationship-building, and the resilience it takes to start anew. Apply today and lend your voice to our team — together, we can help others discover theirs.
