Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized tests and observational techniques.
Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals alongside long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Administer focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing various aspects of communication, including language development, fluency issues, vocal articulation, and swallowing difficulties.
Collaborate with a dedicated team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to foster comprehensive care strategies.
Provide education for patients and families to help continue progress beyond the clinic environment.
Engage in periodic inpatient evaluations and interventions to guarantee seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's journey.
Maintain meticulous and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and institutional standards.
Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.
Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
Required Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices relevant to all age groups, with a well-rounded understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
