As a Speech Language Pathologist in the lively atmosphere of San Antonio, you'll do so much more than help with communication and swallowing issues. Your efforts will unlock doors to new possibilities, renew self-esteem, and enrich human connections that span generations — from children mastering their first sounds to older adults regaining their independence.
This exciting role offers the chance to work with a diverse group of clientele throughout their lifespan, functioning within an innovative environment that balances outpatient therapy with the occasional inpatient services. Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions emphasizing language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing enhancement.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to develop well-rounded care strategies.
Educate patients and families to further support treatment goals beyond clinical sessions.
Occasionally conduct inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless care during the recovery process.
Document clinical findings in a timely and accurate manner following applicable state and federal regulations.
Engage in ongoing education and professional growth by staying abreast of advancements in the discipline through collaboration and training.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is pending.

Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting work.
Essential Skills
Expertise in a variety of proven treatment approaches for all ages, with deep knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Capability to tailor therapy methods to address varying cultural and linguistic necessities.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and quality documentation standards.
Benefits
Competitive salary based on experience and expertise.
Flexible scheduling to promote work-life balance and diverse caseloads.
Possibilities to specialize in pediatrics, adult rehabilitation, or geriatric speech therapy.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation.
Options for health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collaborative environment that prioritizes quality care and a commitment to lifelong learning.
A Career Filled with Purpose — and Personal Growth
Here, your role extends beyond merely providing therapy; it's about joining a community that amplifies voices, nurtures relationships, and celebrates those heartwarming moments that come from understanding each other.
Your colleagues will be more than just co-workers; you will form a family, working together in a supportive environment that values collaboration over competition. Every patient holds a unique narrative, and we trust you to be the storyteller who shapes their journey towards recovery.
