Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Staten Island
Full-Time or Part-Time | School-Based Opportunity
Setting: Preschool & School-Age Program (Ages 3-12)
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to join a supportive, New York State-approved educational program serving preschool and school-age students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about helping young learners build communication and language skills within a collaborative, multidisciplinary school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide speech and language therapy to students ages 3-12
Support expressive and receptive language development
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, BCBA, and clinical staff
Participate in evaluations, progress monitoring, and team meetings
Utilize evidence-based strategies, including PECS and communication supports
Contribute to a nurturing, high-support educational environment
Requirements Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
New York State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
TSSLD Certification
Fluent in Spanish
Experience with preschool and/or school-age students preferred
Comfort working with children with developmental and intellectual disabilities
