Empower Communication Across Generations in a Charming New England City - Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist

Imagine a career where every conversation you foster resonates with purpose and clarity. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Massachusetts's most picturesque cities, your expertise will play a pivotal role in addressing not only communication and swallowing disorders but also in rekindling confidence and fostering connections that matter. From the first words spoken by toddlers to the cherished independence regained by seniors, your influence is profound.

In this unique position, you'll engage with diverse populations throughout their life journey in a setting that melds outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient assistance. If you thrive on helping children with language development, adults navigating communication challenges, or seniors seeking cognitive rehabilitation, prepare to find both success and satisfaction in your work.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations for patients across varying age groups, employing standardized assessments along with observational techniques.

Craft tailored treatment plans addressing immediate objectives as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.

Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on facets of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.

Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, healthcare providers, families, and caregivers to establish integrated care strategies.

Provide educational resources to patients and families to enhance progress during clinical sessions.

Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

Keep comprehensive and punctual documentation in accordance with state, federal, and facility policies.

Engage in ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of employment.

Skills

Expertise in research-based treatment modalities suitable for all age groups, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary care teams.

Adept at tailoring therapy approaches to encompass a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to problem-solve effectively.

Comfort utilizing electronic health records and adhering to documentation standards.

Benefits

Compensation that reflects your experience and expertise in the field.

Flexible work scheduling to promote a healthy work-life balance with diverse patient caseloads.

Opportunities to specialize in pediatrics, adult rehabilitation, or geriatric care.

Earned time off (PTO) as well as holiday pay accessible to all staff.

Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Support for continuing education and professional growth.

A collaborative team atmosphere dedicated to exemplary patient care and lifelong learning.

A Journey That Connects – and Inspires You

Joining our practice means more than offering therapy; it's about participating in a community mission where restoring voices, enhancing communication, and sparking happiness is woven into the fabric of daily interactions.

You'll become part of a compassionate team that prioritizes collaboration over competition, recognizing that each patient's journey is a story waiting to be told, with your guidance helping to craft that narrative.

Discover the Charm of New England Living

Experience the heartwarming vibrancy of this charming New England locale, where antique shops and art galleries complement the vibrant cultural scene against a backdrop of rich history. The energy of the community radiates through its bustling downtown, where local cafés serve fresh artisan bread and spirited performances take the city streets alive.

From outdoor farmers' markets showcasing local produce to historic sites rich with stories, there truly is something for everyone in this region.

For professionals, live where a strong economy intersects with a supportive atmosphere. The benefits extend far beyond the cost of living and the absence of state income tax — you will find an expanding healthcare sector that values growth and innovation.

This is the environment where your passion for speech therapy can flourish, providing growth paths both personally and professionally.

Your Next Adventure Awaits

We are searching for a Speech Language Pathologist who embodies both clinical excellence and empathy. You might spot a quiet child yearning for confidence and envision a world where they thrive, or hear a patient's first words after a setback and feel the spark of their determination.

Whether you specialize in pediatrics and wish to extend your reach to adult care or focus on neurotherapy and wish to embrace intervention strategies early in their healing journey, we are here to support your growth.

If you are ready to merge skill with compassion, we are eager to welcome you.
