Job description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This virtual speech-language pathologist position offers an opportunity to provide teletherapy services to a diverse K-12 student population in Michigan. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 11, 2027, with a commitment of 20 hours per week and a potential to increase hours based on need. The school environment embraces virtual providers and supports remote service delivery with dedicated spaces and staff assistance.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver virtual speech-language pathology services aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Collaborate with onsite staff who assist in pulling and monitoring students during sessions.
Utilize the PowerSchools system to access IEP information; training on this platform will be provided.
Develop and maintain student schedules ensuring effective service delivery.
Support a culturally and linguistically diverse student body, many of whom are first-year English language learners with various dialects of Arabic.
Qualifications And Experience
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required.
Experience with teletherapy and telespeech service delivery methods.
Previous work in school-based settings preferred.
Comfort working with diverse populations, including multilingual and multi-religious students.
Ability to adapt to virtual systems and collaborate effectively with onsite personnel.
