Speech Language Pathologist for Anderson High School for Southgate Community Schools
POSITION: Speech Language Pathologist
LOCATION: Anderson High School
POSTING DATE: July 16, 2026
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology, or a related field
Current license through Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA)
Demonstrates knowledge of Special Education law, guidelines, and procedures
Responsibilities
Provide speech and language services in individual or group settings
Writes and implements IEP goals
Adhere to MARSE speech/language guidelines for eligibility, service delivery, and exit criteria
Evaluate students suspected of having a speech/language impairment as part of a multidisciplinary evaluation team
Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments
Provide consultation and collaboration to students, families, and school staff
Provide speech/language services and evaluation to parochial schools
Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and district policy
Maintain professional competence in field by attending and participating in professional organizations, workshops, conferences, and staff meetings
Perform other duties as required by the building administrator and Director of Special Education
