We have been in business for over 17 years, and as we continue to grow, we are looking for motivated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join our team and provide quality care to our patients in a home health setting.

nJob Summary The SLP/SLPA provides speech and language therapy services to help patients improve their communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities and increase their independence and quality of life. This position involves working with patients and families in the home, following an individualized plan of care, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

nEssential Duties & Responsibilities (SLP):

nProvide skilled speech-language pathology services in accordance with the patient's plan of care.

nConduct evaluations and assessments of speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities as appropriate.

nDevelop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.

nProvide therapeutic interventions to improve speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing skills.

nEducate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapy activities, home programs, safety, and strategies that promote communication and independence.

nMonitor patient progress and response to treatment and make appropriate recommendations.

nAccurately document evaluations, interventions, progress, and other services provided.

nCommunicate and collaborate with physicians, caregivers, SLPAs, and other members of the healthcare team.

nSupervise and provide guidance to SLPAs in accordance with applicable regulations and professional standards.

nParticipate in continuing education and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and payer requirements.

nPerform other duties as assigned.

nEssential Duties & Responsibilities (SLPA):

nProvide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP and in accordance with the patient's plan of care.

nImplement speech and language therapy activities and interventions established by the supervising SLP.

nEducate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapy activities, home programs, and strategies that promote communication and independence.

nMonitor and document patient progress and response to treatment and communicate findings to the supervising SLP.

nAccurately complete visit documentation, progress notes, and clinical notes in a timely manner.

nCommunicate effectively with patients, caregivers, the supervising SLP, and other members of the healthcare team.

nFollow infection control, safety, and patient care protocols.

nParticipate in continuing education and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and payer requirements.

nPerform other duties as assigned.

nQualifications: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):

nMasters or Doctoral degree in Speech-language Pathology from an accredited college or university

nActive Texas state license as a speech-language pathologis

nCertificate of clinical competence from American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

nProof of current CPR certification.

nDrivers License (required)

nCar Insurance (required)

nSpeech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA):

nGraduate from a school of Speech Language Pathology Assistant with a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.

nCurrent Texas State License as an SLPA

nCPR Certification

nRecent work experience in Home Health (preferred)

n2 years experience as an SLPA in an acute care or rehabilitation setting

nDrivers License (required)

nCar Insurance (required)

nSkills:

nBilingual (Spanish) preferred.

nStrong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

nAbility to work independently and manage multiple assignments.

nBasic computer skills for documentation and timekeeping.
