nBHSC has an opening for a Speech Supervisor within our Contracts department. This is a full time, year round position that will involve regular travel to various school contract sites.

nnn$1,250 paid upon hire

nn$1,250 paid after 6 months of employment

n nThe Contract Speech Supervisor manages services in BHSC's contract sites to ensure quality, excellence in staff training, productivity monitoring, and paperwork/policy compliance.
nEssential Functions
nnnCollaborates with program directors, supervisors, and contract administrators to achieve the highest level of customer service by optimizing work efficiency and effectiveness of supervised staff, as well as ensuring appropriate staffing, scheduling and coverage.

nnWorks with other departments within BHSC to implement/change procedures, meet customer needs and collaborate.
n
nnMonitors accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of paperwork according to standards required depending on location and conducts regular audits of paperwork to ensure quality.
n
nnUpdates contract policy and procedures as indicated and ensures policies and procedures are followed by staff.
n
nnSupervises CFYs appropriately, or assists others who are supervising CFYs, ensuring legal guidelines and agency policies are precisely followed.
n
nnTrains and mentors all staff on ongoing basis clinically and procedurally.
n
nnInterviews and hires clinicians as needed.
n
nnAny other duty as requested by your supervisor.

nnnSkilled in Speech Language Pathology practices
n
nnDisplay all Supervisor behavioral competencies
n
nnAbility to influence a group to complete a common goal
n
nnAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
n
n nEducation Required
nnMasters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited University
n nExperience Required
nnMinimum 2.5 years experience as a speech language pathologist
n nRequired License and Certification
nnnNew York State licensed Speech Language Pathologist
n
nnAmerican Speech Language Hearing Association Certification
n
nnNew York State TSSLD Certification, or Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped
