Job description
This 36-week position in Columbia, South Carolina offers competitive compensation and benefits, and provides a chance to make a meaningful impact as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students in a school setting.
Implement therapy sessions across various educational levels and age groups.
Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student needs and progress.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic student support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or an equivalent field.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in South Carolina.
State-specific licensure or state certification requirements.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Knowledge of school-based therapy practices and familiarity with pediatric populations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently in a school setting.
Background checks and compliance with facility's standard requirements.
Flexibility to adapt to a school environment and meet student needs.
Preferred Skills:
ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
