Imagine a role where your career empowers individuals to communicate, connect, and thrive. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the vibrant city of Buffalo, you'll not only address communication and swallowing challenges but also transform lives. From helping little ones articulate their first words to guiding seniors on the path to independence, your influence will resonate throughout the community.

This position offers a remarkable opportunity to work with diverse populations across all age groups within an environment that perfectly blends outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in pediatric speech development, adult neurogenic disorders, or geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, you will discover both fulfillment and flexibility in this role.

Conduct thorough evaluations of patients ranging from children to the elderly using a mix of standardized tests and observational methods.

Design customized treatment plans tailored to meet immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.

Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.

Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to form unified care plans.

Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.

Support occasional inpatient evaluation and intervention, ensuring seamless care during the treatment journey.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.

Stay abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and team collaboration.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.

Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of commencing employment.

Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to a diverse age range, with a solid grasp of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Strong interpersonal communication skills, effectively engaging with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Ability to adapt therapy strategies to address varied cultural and linguistic needs.

Exceptional clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.

Competitive compensation, based on experience.

Flexible scheduling options for a balanced lifestyle and varied caseloads.

Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.

Paid time off (PTO), including holiday pay.

Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Support for continuing education and professional development.

A collaborative environment that prioritizes quality care and lifelong learning.

In this role, you will do more than provide speech therapy; you will be integral to a community-focused mission, rekindling voices, nurturing connections, and creating memorable experiences through the simple yet profound acts of understanding and being understood.

You will collaborate with a team that treats one another like family, thriving in an atmosphere that values teamwork over competition. Each patient has a unique journey; we trust you to influence the course of their story positively.
