We are hiring in Central Texas! Join us at Easterseals Central Texas for an exciting career as a Speech-Language Pathologist (Bilingual Preferred).
nWhat You'll Do
nProvide therapy services to children birth to 36 months of age in their natural environment which includes their home and or community. We use a family-centered model that includes the parent or guardian as an important member of the child's team to achieve goals developed together. This position is home-based and requires reliable transportation means. Specific operational priorities are identified in the annual Organization's Operational Work Plan. The occupant of this position is guided by the Organizational Systems Manual (policies and procedures), multi-year Strategic Plan, Operational Work Plan, Organizational Calendar, and teamwork expectations in the conduct of all professional activities. The occupant is expected to maintain the skills, credentials, and knowledge essential for successful job performance.
nYour Responsibilities Will Include:
nnnAttend staff meetings, agency, and ECI team in services and trainings.
n
nnComplete continuing education needed to maintain certification/licensure and renew certification/licensure as necessary.
n
nnUpdate Human Resources on all needed documentation on a regular basis as required by agency standards.
n
nnComplete agency and program training as specified within timelines.
n
nnAttend and participate in ECI team related quality assurance meetings and reviews including Utilization Review and Peer Review.
n
nnMaintain communication throughout work hours with the main office.
n
nnConduct intakes and screenings per policies.
n
nnInitiate and maintain contact with children's physicians for obtaining and updating necessary medical information.
n
nnServe as a member of a family-centered team to:
n
n nA. Develop and deliver a comprehensive routines-based service plan primarily in a primary service provider model, and
nB. Assist families in identifying their routines, concerns, priorities, and resources, and
nC. Perform and coordinate developmental assessments, and
nD. Assess development, goal attainment, and continuing needs on a periodic basis, and
nE. Reevaluate outcomes and strategies based on family-centered choice.
nnnProvide routines-based Speech Therapy within qualitative and quantitative standards of the agency.
n
nnAssist and facilitate the work of team members, other departments, and agency managers in attaining the goals and objectives of the organization.
n
nnHands-on or direct training of skills, documentation, billing, competencies, and theory as assigned.
n
nnContinue to increase knowledge and understanding of ECI policy and procedures.
n
n nYour a Great Fit If You Have:
nnnMaster's Degree Speech-Language Pathology
n
nnLicensed in Texas (TDLR) and with their ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competences (CCC)
n
nnTwo years' experience working with children, preferably children with special needs.
n
nnMust have own transportation with current auto insurance as required by Texas law.
n
nnBilingual in Spanish preferred.
