10 month position with the option to work summer (extended school year)
nWhat You'll Do
nAs a Speech Language Pathologist you will help develop, provide and evaluate Speech Language therapies based on individual treatments. You will provide therapy as outlined by treatment plan of communication disorders of Individual Treatment Plan/Individual Education Plan. You will evaluate communication skills to include receptive language, expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, oral-motor skills and hearing and develop a comprehensive service plan according to program policies and regulations, including school, outpatient, etc.
nYour Responsibilities Will Include:
nnnMaintain professional standards in and out of the Center in compliance with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Code of Ethics.
n
nnInstruct and counsel students/clients and/or their families regarding the specific nature of their communications impairments and how to best deal with this in various speaking situations.
n
nnAttend IEP meetings, staffing, case conferences and department meetings.
n
nnMaintain appropriate records: progress notes and reports, evaluations, plans, case conference reports and discharge summaries.
n
nnGet and track insurance authorizations when applicable.
n
nnComplete departmental program evaluation in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
n
nnFunction as a case manager and assist in coordinating and obtaining, other needed services.
n
nnSupervise clinical fellowship year for staff speech language pathologist where appropriate.

n nYou're a great fit for this role if you have:
nnnMaster's Degree or its equivalent in the field of Speech and Language Pathology. Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech/Hearing Association OR be in clinical fellowship year
n
nnCurrent State Speech Language Pathologist License.
n
nnThree years' experience working with young children as a speech/language pathologist is preferred.

nn$65,000-$90,000 (depending on experience)
