Job description
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, develops and implements professionally competent, comprehensive individual and group treatment programs for inpatients and outpatients.Provides supervision of patient care duties delegated to nonprofessional staff.Assists with managerial, administrative and educational duties as assigned by Rehab Manager.Performs professional, competent occupational therapy treatment programs and related documentation on all assigned patients in an efficient and timely manner.Participates with other members of the health care team to facilitate maximum patient benefit and efficiency.Participates in and contributes to educational programs.Assists with evaluation and supervision of aides, volunteers as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist as issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. New graduates may qualify with a Speech and Language Pathologist Intern license, pending full licensure in accordance with ASHA and Texas State Board of Examiner requirements.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Must maintain current licensure to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist as issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.
