nLocation: Wheeling, IL Full-Time | School-Year Schedule Therapeutic Day School Setting Start Date: Winter 2025
nAbout Inspired Learners Academy: Opening Winter 2025, Inspired Learners Academy is a therapeutic day school built on the values of compassion, collaboration, and individualized support. As a sister program to Motivated Learners, our school is designed to serve students with diverse learning, communication, and behavioral needs through a team-based, relationship-centered approach.
nPosition Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our founding team. In this role, you will assess, develop, and implement individualized speech and language therapy for students ages 5–14 with communication, social, and language needs.
nKey Responsibilities:
nConduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
nProvide direct therapy services in individual and small group formats
nCollaborate closely with special education teachers, behavior therapists, and related service providers
nParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring
nOffer support and training to staff on communication strategies and AAC when applicable
nQualifications:
nMaster’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
nIllinois SLP license and PEL (or eligible)
nASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred
nExperience working in school or therapeutic settings preferred
nStrong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
