Spine Sales Specialist
nHouston, TX & Surrounding Areas | Remote, Field Based | Travel Required

nOur client is a growing medical device company specializing in innovative spinal implant solutions. The company partners with surgeons, hospitals, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, cost-effective technologies supporting spine surgery.
nWe’re seeking an experienced Spine Sales Specialist to support surgeons and customers throughout the Houston market.
nThe Role
nThis field-based position combines clinical OR support, technical expertise, and sales development. You’ll provide intraoperative case coverage, support surgeons and OR teams, manage instrumentation and implants, and help grow product utilization throughout the territory.
nThe position offers a clear path toward an Territory Manager role with increased responsibility for territory development, sales, and leadership.
nKey Responsibilities
nnnProvide intraoperative case coverage for spine implant procedures.
n
nnServe as a technical resource on implants, instrumentation, and surgical techniques.
n
nnPrepare and manage surgical trays, implants, and instruments for scheduled cases.
n
nnBuild strong relationships with spine surgeons, OR staff, and hospital personnel.
n
nnEducate and train healthcare professionals on product use and best practices.
n
nnTroubleshoot and problem-solve during surgical cases.
n
nnPartner with sales leadership to identify opportunities and drive territory growth.
n
nnMaintain accurate case logs, inventory, and reporting.
n
nnCoordinate timely restocking and ensure proper return of instruments to SPD.
n
nnMaintain compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and company procedures.
n
nnSupport last-minute cases and travel to surrounding territories as needed.
n
n nQualifications
nnn3+ years of medical device sales, surgical support, or OR case coverage experience.
n
nnOrthopedic spine and/or neurosurgical experience required.
n
nnExperience with spine implants, instrumentation, and surgical workflows.
n
nnPA, RN, or Surgical Technologist background with spine experience is highly valued.
n
nnStrong communication and relationship-building skills with surgeons and OR teams.
n
nnExcellent organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
n
nnComfortable working independently in a remote, field-based role.
n
nnAbility to manage a flexible, travel-heavy schedule and respond to changing case requirements.
n
nnBachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
n
nnValid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
